Orange Creature 2

C R E A T U R E S | IDEA ONE: ORANGE

For this project, I took my main influences from Harocio Salinas, and the bold use of contrasting colours from Peechaya Burroughs. I created this affect by using strong lighting from each side to decrease the amount of shadow shown, allowing the yellows and oranges to burst out of the frame. I chose to centre my object as it created the best depth of field, creating an interesting effect with the spikes, giving them movement and also adding sharpness, overall creating a bright and colourful image, with a piercing style, giving the image different elements and textures to view through the image.

I feel the white background could have been whiter, to really bring the orange colours out more, but overall I feel this image is well lit, and well taken, clearly showing the focus on the eyes of the “creature”, helping create a context to the image.
