C R E A T U R E S | IDEA THREE: CABLE STEMS
This was a very simple idea, influenced by Sonia Rentsch, as it shows technology in a more natural form; as plant stems. I feel I could have created a more equal lighting set up, to create a more balanced background, but on the other hand, the way in which the right side is darker, helps towards the hyper-natural feel to the image, as if its a technological world, manufactured and with little natural aspects.
Originally I was going to photograph over this image, adding more layers of natural life, to create a better context, but I feel that would have changed the overall feel to this image and what I wanted to develop.
The minimalistic style helps let the objects stand out more, and also with the different levels, this helps add variety to the image, showing that imperfections can always happen, giving natural elements to the image.
